Volunteer workThis occurs on the weekend.I proposed a new sound system for the church and I set it up. This was done in stages, according to budget and time allowances as we are all volunteers.Troubleshooting, when the equipment does not function as intended, involving also computers and other devices.This role also involves leadership as most of the team are still young and inexperienced.I work closely with the Creative Arts leader and we assist each other.This involves planning for the short and long term, necessary improvements to the current systems and team-building. Our role in the Sunday services is crucial to how it is run as the Creative Arts is approximately half of the service itself.We report to the Senior Pastor of the Church.

Receiving jobs through emails and calls and allocating them to the correct vendor.Managing both internal and external vendors in order to meet KPI requirements.Receiving quotes and presenting them to Facilities Management for approval.Handling emergency situations and liaising with different vendors for a "make safe" solution and then managing it again for a more permanent solution.Giving ideas for process improvement.

VolunteeringI was the team leader for the Audio Visual Team. Starting from humble set ups like 2 speakers and instruments to an auditorium with state of the art equipment. I learnt to use the sound board and to manipulate the sound for live music.I lead a small team that was responsible for stage lyrics and the audio.I ensured that every week, the lyrics were correct for each song and rectified it when it wasn't.I ensured the music was loud enough but not overbearing.I manipulated the sound to make it sound professional.It was leading people and encouraging volunteers to be of one mind and serve the same purpose. This worked very closely with the Worship team to ensure the audio was as it should be.
