My name is Christian Sneed. I am from Wilmington, North Carolina and am currently a student in Appalachian State University’s English department. I have years of experience in the customer service and restaurant industries, having spent eight months working at Publix Super markets and another eight months at a local coffee shop, among other part-time positions. I have worked as a shift leader for two different companies, giving me experience leading a team of people. Currently I am employed as a server at Dan’l Boone Inn and a team member at Appalachian State University’s smoothie bar, Cascades. Writing and public speaking are the two skills I have worked to hone throughout my life, having been awarded twice, both for the state of North Carolina and nationally, for a speech I presented in my senior year of high school. Before attending Appalachian State University I graduated from Cape Fear Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Science. I have experience in multiple college-level writing and speech classes, as well as a minor in psychology. With a goal of teaching English abroad, I hope to further improve my reading, writing, and presentation skills so that I might better impart future generations with the skills they need to succeed.
