Greetings Lifeform! I'm Christian Bailey, a media professional living in downtown Toronto and loving it. My experience encompasses over 20 years as an editor, writer and producer in publishing, advertising, radio, TV, and the ever-evolving interactive digital landscape. Whether it's discovering and publishing a first time author, producing award-winning interactive campaigns, or syndicating prime-time rock radio shows across Canada, what I enjoy most is making great ideas happen. From the hands-on intensity of start-ups, through the frenetic world of advertising, to the established pacing of corporate broadcast and production environments, I've developed expertise in digital content production, cross-platform branding, business development, multi-platform syndication, team building and creative problem solving.I've had the privilege of working for great companies like Bell Media, the CBC, Random House/Knopf Canada, and Taxi Canada, and I'm proud to point to accomplishments like running a team of writers and directing talent at U8TV's "The Lofters" (Canada’s first 24/7 online realityTV channel); creating and producing the CCD-funded live music series "The Transit Tapes" showcasing emerging Canadian artists; and contributing to the pioneering success of Canada’s first digital culture website, Shift.com, during the first dotcom boom of the 1990s. At various periods, I've also been a Legislative Page, grave digger, bar back, census taker, figure skater, lock picker, scrutineer, one-trick magician, and original founding member of the arrestingly misguided rock band, Hot Wings Over America. Count yourself lucky you haven't heard of us. For fun, I compete in eSports and keep up with the gaming industry and its fervent, ever-growing community. I stream on Twitch.tv and am an active YouTuber. Outside nerddom, you'l find me every so often DJ'ing elitist obscurities at dark little dive bars in the neighbourhood.
