Responsibility for all of Nortel’s Wireless (GSM/GSM-R) Network Implementation Services delivered across the two regions. Main responsibility is to structure and organize a team (spread over the regions) that delivers the following types of services:- End to End Network Engineering (Network Design, RF Planning, Network Configuration, Network Optimization, Quality Of Service Acceptance)- Integration and Acceptance- Installation & Commissioning, Deployment Management

Responsibility for a technical team (across Germany and the Czech Republic) providing Nortel customers with network engineering services (network design, - configuration, - audit/optimization) in the EMEA Central Region for Wireless (Core & Access) & Wireline products. Main responsibilities are:- Promote engineering service definition (pre-sales) & delivery (post-sales) to customers associated to the complete Nortel Carrier Networks product line- Structuring the team according to changing business needs- Developing team skills according to evolving product & technology evolution- Manage an annual team budget in excess of 2 M Euro- Establish and track team quality & efficiency metrics- Review and optimization of end to end engineering delivery processes and related costMajor accomplishments:Successfully structured and focused the team to deliver Nortel’s diverse engineering services in a challenging business environment with proven customer satisfaction.

Coordination of a Wireless Core Network Engineering team (pre-& post-sales) & in-depth technical contribution to the following successful activities:- rollout and launch of several UMTS Core Networks for major customers in Central Europe- swap of the existing GPRS Core Networks from previous vendor to Nortel for major customers in Central Europe- integrating the team with the local Product Line Management team to form a consistent pre-sales interface to the Central EMEA customers in the Wireless product and services domain- Technical contribution to pre-sales activities (e.g. RFQ, RFI) related to Nortel’s Wireless product portfolioMajor accomplishments:Lead the technical team that was responsible for the successful introduction and evolution of the Nortel Packet and Circuit Core Technology into major Wireless customers across central Europe. Applying analytical and problem-solving skills to validate team member work.
