I have spent five years in the work field and have gathered new skills and experiences in each position I have had. My first job was at a local fast-food chain restaurant. Through my time there, I gained experience in the work field, as well as how to think, prepare, and act quickly and efficiently. My most recent position was at a bakery in a grocery market. I have learned a lot about customer service, time management, and responsibility in the workplace. I also work part-time at a catering company. I have worked there for two and a half years and achieved a more advanced understanding of what is needed to organize a large public event and proper, work-safe food preparation. I have also learned many skills from extracurricular activities outside of school such as leadership, air cadets, peer counseling, and effective speaking classes. Though I work currently with customer service and foods, I am very passionate about mathematics and the science industry.
