As founder of Christian Bishop Studio I oversee the provision of fine art and exhibition services to major institutions, arts centres, galleries, artists and private collectors. Services include exhibition design, fabrication and installation with a focus on mount design and fabrication, exhibition consultancy, art and object handling, packing and display solution advisory services. As POD’s Project Manager of Exhibition Services, I oversaw and was responsible for the project management of exhibition installations for a range of major state, institutional, and private collections including, but not limited to: ACMI, Museums Victoria, University of Melbourne, Monash University, NGV, White Rabbit Gallery (NSW), HOTA (QLD), Bendigo Art Gallery, Australian Sports Museum, Tarrawarra, Heide Museum of Modern Art. In this role my responsibilities included:• Management of POD’s exhibition services department, overseeing scoping, budgeting, install and delivery of complex exhibition projects.• Recruiting and managing a team of install technicians and casual staff• Establishing and building relationships with clients and cultural partners; managing complex stakeholder environments.• Working with First Nations artists and curators to develop culturally sensitive ways of working with material and artworks.• Custom mount making for artworks, cultural objects and artefacts.• Managing logistics across multiple projects of varying scales and complexities.• Working closely with curators, exhibition designers, collection managers and conservators to ensure creative display solutions that meet collections and conservation requirements.• Photographic documentation of projects.• Managing POD’s Social Media accounts.• Carrying out risk assessments and producing WHS documentation for onsite work including: JSA, SOP, and SWMS documentation.

Exhibition Installation

Working with RMIT Link's First Site Gallery Curator to provide technical assistance and support for students and other clients in the gallery. Providing space preparation, installation and operational support services for exhibitions, forums and event activities.

Working within the Exhibitions and Collections Operations department at the National Gallery of Victoria installing and lighting of both artworks and display support material for a range of exhibitions, events, collection displays, collection management activities and programs.
