    Based in Chester my day to day duties where normal system administration such as backup, house keeping, looking after a mainframe for the sales/finance departments. Maintaining the editorial systems which was coupled with multiple platforms such as Sun Sparc, Apple Mac, Windows 2003 Servers and the odd 486 print servers and a press site based in Chester.I was in a technical team that introduced a new Newspaper editorial system called Tera which had to be 'fine tuned' for the Cheshire/North Wales part of the business.This included setting up a new Active Directory system, setting up 25 branch offices with new kit (Network/Clients), Citrix farm with two SQL Clusters with NAS connections.At the end of my employment here I wrote an automated tool that converted an EPS file to postscript, modified then PDF the document for the website. This was used with some other Press Computer systems at the time.
