I’m the Founder of Code & Counsel, a tech-based law firm and consulting service that specializes in integrating custom AI & BI solutions into legal practices and startups. We aid startups and law firms in harnessing AI to enhance their operations, offering comprehensive support from concept to deployment. The foundation of Code & Counsel starts with the unique perspective developed during my different roles across loan servicers, law firms, fintech companies and asset types in consumer financial legal services. While at the fintech Rocktop Technologies, I oversaw legal due diligence and risk for over $60+B in assets since 2015 while managing the legal operations and business intelligence suite. As a seasoned data analyst and executive, I honed the art of employing tools like SQL and Power BI, enabling data-driven decisions, optimizing processes, and elevating stakeholder experiences. During this time, I also developed an appreciation for the importance of well-organized and aggregated data, with a keen eye to database architecture. At Rocktop Technologies, I held the position of Managing Director and In-House Counsel. My leadership was pivotal in the inception of the Business Intelligence division and steering research into the seamless integration of AI and LLMs into operations. Before ascending to this role, I championed as the Senior Director in the Portfolio Surveillance/Asset Management division. Here, I orchestrated the design and deployment of the Asset Management system for $20+B in forward and reverse mortgages using my legal knowledge and experience in default servicing to create a unique ML/AI decisioning engine. With a solid reputation in default servicing, due diligence, title curative, foreclosure, & mortgage servicing, and an ever-growing technological edge in AI solutions, my vision is to grow Code & Counsel into a lean, AI-driven team that seemlessly delivers a harmonious blend of legal sagacity, technical skills, and a visionary approach to integrating AI into your legal practices.
