Christian’s years of professional experience include business, commercial, engineering and operational leadership, introducing breakthrough technologies, growing new markets, and partnering to deliver healthcare around the world.He was recently appointed President of GE OEC Medical Systems, Inc., GE HealthCare’s Surgical Imaging business, managing the overall strategy, resources and operations of the business. The company's digital X-ray imaging C-arms are used for fluoroscopic intraoperative and interventional applications in minimally invasive surgical settings across a broad clinical range including orthopedics, gastrointestinal, endoscopic, urologic, neurologic, critical care, emergency, and vascular procedures.Previously Christian was the General Manager of the Diagnostic Imaging business for GE HealthCare's Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. He led overall business and commercial strategy for an expansive portfolio including Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Surgery, X-Ray, Mammography, bone mineral densitometry (BMD), Computed Tomography (CT), Molecular Imaging (PET/SPECT/RPH) and Digital solutions. Other roles include leading the business units in both North America and Europe for GE’s Molecular and CT modalities. He was Chief Marketing Officer at Spectrum Dynamics Medical, responsible for strategic direction. Christian was also GM of North America for Spectrum, leading commercial and operational execution. Earlier career roles included commercial, operations and engineering leadership. Prior to professional endeavors Christian proudly served in the United States Navy where he honed leadership, strategic planning, and operational management skills, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Having trained in the Navy's Nuclear engineering program he was deployed as a Submarine Officer, and later advanced to be Director of the Reactor Plant Technology Division at the Navy’s engineering school. Christian earned a Master of Science in Engineering from Catholic University of America, and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, with minors in Mechanical Engineering and Naval Science from Marquette University. He completed a Nuclear Engineering certification with US Naval Reactors in Washington DC, studied Artificial Intelligence at MIT in Boston, and Organic Chemistry in Charleston, South Carolina.
