Reporting to the GM Future Energy Solutions this role is responsible for developing Future Energy, Decarbonisation and Net-Zero Strategies for Downer and its clients:- Zero-Carbon Asphalt: Developed a novel method of zero-carbon asphalt production leveraging existing plant infrastructure and international OEM technology, aiming to provide a decisive reduction in the organisation’s emissions profile.- Zero-Carbon Beverage Production: Developed a zero-emission production and transportation process for a major international beverage producer including repurposing byproducts for sustainable feedstocks and regenerative economy outcomes.- Future Fuels Strategy: Developed a hydrogen production roadmap with integrated Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) for a major Australian gas operator; leveraging a blend of strategic asset management and a systems-based Net-Zero technology suite.- Sustainable Materials from Industrial Waste: Initiated a project to transform alumina production byproducts into sustainable building materials; leveraging internal core competencies, academic and OEM technology partners. This project included robotics for environmental monitoring.- Emissions to Synthetic Fuel (PtL) Methodology: Developed a process for converting emissions into synthetic fuel for a leading steel manufacturer, turning emissions into sustainable revenue.- QLD Power Plant Renewables Hub: Developed initial designs at a major Queensland power plant, including a transition-gas turbine using hydrogen, natural gas and waste-to-energy gas, large-scale hydrogen storage, community heating, commercial-scale battery and synthetic fuel production.- Hydrogen Refuelling Facility: Co-developed a comprehensive hydrogen refuelling facility plan for a hydrogen bus fleet, in partnership with a national public transport operator and city council.

Reporting to the RTS General Manager – Engineering this role centred around support and development of the strategic interests of RTS through innovation, managing and leading engineering teams executing projects, asset management strategy and to develop, pursue and lead business development opportunities in the transport sector:- Project Lead for Downer Hydrogen Rail Initiative:Pursue and lead opportunities to develop new hydrogen markets and innovations for RTS clients, Developed strong relationships with prospective clients, OEMs, academia and start-up groups to understand their key drivers and opportunities for innovation to enable Downer’s hydrogen service offering- Business Development & Bid SupportAuthoring Initial Asset Management Plan (AMP) and Initial Operations & Maintenance Plan for QTMP Bid valued $2B+- Development of Overhaul Interval Optimisation and Condition Based Maintenance Programs Project Lead for Bogie Overhaul Optimisation: Innovation-based program to transition the business from ‘Time-and-Distance’ to ‘Condition-Based’ Overhaul Methodology, resulting in significant savings (FCAC).- Asset Management (ISO 55001) LeadAdvising Executive & Senior Management to identify business opportunities and drive value through development and implementation of Strategic Asset Management Plans (SAMP) and performance management frameworks for Downer RTS assets, valued at $4.4BLead negotiations with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure ISO 55001 certification and asset management best outcomes for Downer RTS

Development of TrainDNA, a strategically integrated software platform utilising complex data analytics and machine learning tools to enable predictive maintenance strategy for Rolling Stock.Development of Asset Management fundamentals education module for Downer RSS as part of ISO 55000 compliance.Development of 10 year Technical Maintenance Plan (TMP) & Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) for $1b transport operations bid.Fire compliance (EN45545) & Mechanical Design/Reporting for major overhaul of Queensland Rail IMU100/SMU200 series at Maryborough Service Delivery Centre.Testing & Commissioning, Train Acceptance and QA Audits for Melbourne HCMT Project.

Logistics Infrastructure & Planning, Strategy, Geoscience & Exploration, Analysis & Improvement and Asset Planning.• Consolidation, alignment and implementation of a newly introduced company-wide Time Usage Model, coordinating with key stakeholders from BHP Billiton Coal and West Australian Iron Ore,• Applying Data Wrangling and Data Visualisation to Co-develop an unprecedented drilling penetration rate and productivity metrics analysis for Geoscience & Exploration (G&E). This project was completed under supervision from G&E managers for all BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) and BHP Billiton Mitsui Coal (BMC) drilling assets. This project culminated in a co-authored, department-wide memo and presentation to the G&E leadership team on all findings and recommendations,• Descriptive analysis modelling utilising Xeras Mine Modelling and Reflex Database software for Analysis & Improvement. Primary project aims encompassed greater visibility and more accurate operating metrics and costing for all BMA and BMC Draglines.• Providing assistance to Asset Planning in generating and consolidating documentation for the BHP Billiton 5 Year Plan comprising frequent iterative review of linked input data to ensure accuracy of reported productivity metrics,• Assistance to Logistics Infrastructure & Planning in development of a newly-introduced automated logistics optimisation tool,• Development in Excel Visual Basic (VBA) for a semi-autonomous operating modes matrix for the Hay Point Terminal.

Supervision of QUT students and external clients utilising the QUT Creative Industries Faculty venues. Ensure all venues conform to relevant workplace health and safety regulations.
