Operations Coordinator for the Facility for Intelligent Marine Systems (FIMS) at the Bedford Institute of Oceanography. FIMS is a collaboration between Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), the Department of National Defence (DND), and Natural Resources Canada (NRCan).

• Preparation and description of drilled rock samples (in cuttings form). Along with physical description, sample descriptions include fluorescence checks, calcimetry, and close communication with the geologist • Monitoring of drilling parameters and all current operations to prematurely detect and inform necessary personnel of a well control event (i.e. well influx)• Monitoring of drilling activity; interaction of drilling equipment with formation to give indications of formation properties (i.e. structural integrity of the well)• Continuous maintenance of various equipment (Degasser, Gas Analyzer, Calcimeter, etc.)
