Founded and scaled Faden, which was a cross-platform, privacy-focused B2C productivity app that allowed users to manage their personal and professional life, with aspects of apps like Trello & Evernote.

KBTCI is a dedicated technology center that provides technology services for the Knorr-Bremse Group of companies. The responsibility of the board-level role was to establish a new center of competence and independent financial reporting unit.Selected key achievements:• Set up a new greenfield entity for global IT development services, including employee hiring, establishing a dedicated new office and a separate financial reporting entity (Balance, P&L, Cash Flow & personnel planning) in less than 12 months.• Established multiple offshore software development delivery streams for global Knorr-Bremse entities, such as IoT (e.g., remote high-speed train performance monitoring), cloud applications (e.g., Hybris eCommerce, C4C), and enterprise applications (e.g., SAP & PLM).

Led the global IT governance function with a direct reporting line to the Corporate CIO & Chairman of the Board of KB IT Services GmbH. Responsibilities included the global IT project management office to manage the largest and most complex IT programs & projects, the global IT processes & tools, as well as a dedicated IT M&A team.Selected key achievements:• Implemented a Corporate IT service catalog and service management process, which increased transparency on IT services, reduced service cost, and improved service quality measured by SLA & OLA compliance.• Implemented a worldwide demand and project portfolio management process along with regular executive-level reporting for a project portfolio of ~40 million EUR (annual cost).• Established a dedicated global IT due diligence, post-merger integration, and carve-out team within less than a year to enable a highly ambitious growth agenda of Knorr-Bremse.• Established a global IT program and project management office, which managed major programs through senior program & project management professionals, established standards, and guided other project managers in their daily work.

Full responsibility for IT in the Asia Pacific region with around 4,500 IT clients (users) in 28 locations across Hong Kong, China, Australia, Japan, India, Korea and Singapore. Direct reporting line to the regional executive board & dotted reporting line to the corporate CIO.Key achievements:• Developed & implemented the regional IT strategy, organization, and operational model, which enabled the successful business growth of up to 60% year-on-year in Asia-Pacific.• Transformed business requirements into IT initiatives by acting as a trusted partner / IT key account manager for the regional managing directors and board members.• Decreased regional IT cost to a better-than-benchmark level through several cost-saving initiatives such as IT vendor management and implementing best practices.• Enabled the transition to the cloud by migrating the wide-area network (Asia Pacific) from a classical to a cloud-ready architecture, doubling the bandwidth in the process while decreasing total recurring cost.• Ensured IT security measured by zero critical incidents & ISO27001 compliance through a dedicated team of regional and local security officers, best practice implementations, as well as regular internal & external security audits.

Managed the regional IT shared services team for supply chain management & product lifecycle management.
