Oct 2015 - Present

Dir. Of Client Services And Product Owner

The Titan Technology Team is my most recent stop, and I joined Titan in 2001 as the first full-time employee. Helping to grow the company, and growing myself over the past 13 years, we are now a leader in providing ticketing and POS software for our client base from small businesses customers to high profile clients and corporations.Working on a product such as this for a good portion of my career, I've been able to have extensive exposure to an ever evolving product life cycle and product road map. Taking the greatest pleasure when working with developers, internal stakeholders and customers, to always improve the product. Having the great opportunity to work with executive leaders at fortune 500 companies with extensive complex systems and business processes, to small organizations with the "just make it work" mantra. Once you have that product, you must support it as well. You must cultivate relationships with new and existing clients; and by being part of a start-up, I was given the unique opportunity to grow the product, as well as grow the client services group. The best way to improve a product is to be hands on with implementation, configuration and support; no substitute for product growth. In addition, one also has to get their hands dirty with a technology start-up. Besides cleaning the kitchen and taking out the garbage in the early years I provide:• pseudo code for the development staff to work out logical problems• Code (VB,ASP,ASP.NET,T-SQL,HTML,SSIS) • Architect database design, IaaS, hosted and local server infrastructure • API integrations and specifications (I cringe when I see a | in a specifications sheet from a payment provider or other third party systems) • Work to make sure our company and the clients we work with are PCI compliant and aware of responsibilities. • Web Services API creation• Tech Sales,Business Development

Product Manager

Aol

Just prior to my leaving Moviefone they were acquired by AOL; my first exposure to the 'tech bubble'. With this acquisition there was a renewed emphasis to bring to market a next generation ticketing and concession system with the great financial backing of the AOL brand, and the great marketing brand that was Moviefone. For those that don't remember; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qM79_itR0Nc (Still and will always be hysterical. Though I am sentimental, having known the real Mr.Moviefone!) With this new focus, people such as myself, were recruited to help build and shape the new product. Creating something from the ground up was new and exciting, and though the project would ultimately be derailed by my second exposure to the "tech bubble" (remember when AOL acquired Time Warner, no that really happened), my experience on learning new technologies, team building, customer relationships, leadership, product development, and product management would help shape my professional growth. The one thing I have left from that project, besides relationships with the great people I worked with, is the MARS Sequel mug that I drink from every morning. Proof that marketing material usually lasts longer than some software products! MARS Sequel stood for Moviefone Advanced Reservation System; "Sequel" being a witty pun that it was the next generation POS software, and the primary customer for the software solution was movie theaters who would show movie sequels! Get it? Let me confirm I was on the software development side, and not the marketing side. However I still smile each time I pick up the mug.

Computer Graphics Lab Manager

Made my jump to the education sector based on my knowledge and experience with SCO Unix. At the time, NYU continuing education department offered courses on computer graphic animation and editing; these classes took place at the Silicon Graphics labs which I was responsible for. This included managing systems and staff to ensure everything worked like a dream for faculty and students.

Project Coordinator And Support Specialist

Moviefone

My unique background as being a CS major in college, and my work experience at a movie theater, was the impetus for me being the perfect fit for my first job out of college. When the software trainer from Moviefone came to my theater to install and train us on a new POS system, I successfully sold myself as a resource they had to hire.I started my first job out of college on the night shift, from 7pm to 4am supporting a SCO Unix based POS system. (Remember SCO?, fun times) Then working my way up, to the day shift, then software trainer, software installer, and finally project coordinator which included all those aspects, as well as managing new and existing client installations.
