I am in charge of the athletics program in the secondary campus in a K-12 school. I organize, plan, and schedule practices and games for our sports teams as well as find the right coaches to lead those teams.

Developmental spring basketball club program working with youth in the Vancouver area. Assist the head coach run practices and coach in tournaments.

Worked with inner city youth and provided them a place to play, grow, and learn to be model citizens of their neighbourhood using basketball as a tool.After 2 years of coaching, I moved towards being a referee as my schedule didn't allow me to coach further. I wanted to continue being involved in the program.

As a support worker, I help children with autism learn the necessary skills needed to play the sport as well as help them with their socialization skills.

Westminster Canadian Academy is a British Columbia (BC) Offshore School teaching the BC curriculum in an international setting. My role at WCA includes teaching Physical Education from grades 1 to 10 as well as Social Studies 8, 9, and 11. In the past I've taught and created curriculum for a Grade 5/6 split homeroom classes. I have taught Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, Fine Arts, Health & Career Education and Physical Education. There are 5 camps in Canada and the United States (Vancouver, Whistler, Boston, San Francisco, and Los Angeles). The students come from all over the world (i.e. Japan, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, etc.). They come to the city to not only learn English but to embrace the culture of the city. I was a senior counselor for the Los Angeles camp which was located on the UCLA campus. My role was to supervise the kids but also supervise the general counselors and provide help when they needed.

Taught Humanities 8 and Health and Career Education 8 during my long practicum.Introduced an inquiry based project for my Social Studies 8 studies for the Renaissance period. For the inquiry based project, students were to pick a topic during the renaissance period (i.e. Leonardo DaVinci, fashion in the Renaissance, Exploration during the Renaissance), ask themselves a question based on that topic, and then answer the question by doing the research. They then have to present their findings in small groups in a presentation format of their choosing. Some chose to do a powerpoint, some chose to make a poster, and some chose to make a video. The feedback from the students was highly positive. They were able to study something they were interested and they also learned from their peers. According to my faculty adviser, no student teacher has attempted to do an inquiry project during their practicum.

Started out as a Merchandiser where I set up displays and made sure there was always product in stock. After a year I moved on to the sales floor where I was in the Mobile Audio department where I sold iPods, headphones, iPod docks, and GPS devices.
