Responsible for the organization, planning, and management of Saint Meinrad’s programs that raise $2-3 million annually from individuals, corporations, and foundations for the annual operating needs of Saint Meinrad. + Manage and promote the continuous improvement of the Quarterly Appeals for Friends of Saint Meinrad and the Alumni Annual Giving Program that together serve as the primary annual funding effort for Saint Meinrad. + Cultivate and steward members of the Abbot Martin Marty Guild Society – donors who give 1,000+ annually to Saint Meinrad – by reaching out to 10-15 donors each month, producing the annual report and planning the annual Day of Recollection luncheon at Saint Meinrad. + Supervise the planning, implementation, and improvement of the Saint Meinrad Sunday Program, Saint Meinrad’s donor acquisition program, which involves 50+ alumni pastors and reaches 60,000 Catholic parishioners across Indiana and Kentucky each program year. + Manage a team of five who undertake all gift recording, gift acknowledgment, database management, and mailing processes that produce 175,000+ pieces of mail each fiscal year. + Assist and advise the Vice President for Development on continuous improvement for the Development Office as part of the leadership team.

St. Meinrad, Indiana

Served as the chief alumni officer for Saint Meinrad, advising on policies and procedures to build alumni support and initiatives to involve alumni in assisting Saint Meinrad in achieving institutional goals. + Oversaw the planning and improvement of all alumni events. This included increasing annual Alumni Reunion attendance to the highest level in 10 years and significantly increasing the impact of the annual Saint Meinrad Day of Service by growing the event from one project and 20 volunteers in 2014 to 200 volunteers taking part in 14 projects in 10 cities across the United States in 2018. + Built strong relationships with all 18 members of the Alumni Association Board of Directors, guiding them through a strategic planning process that resulted in a new program for student engagement, a new alumni e-magazine, nationally-acclaimed speakers at the annual Alumni Reunion, and the creation of an Alumni Engagement Scorecard that measures alumni engagement across 4 categories – volunteer, philanthropic, communication, and experiential – which allows board members to measure success in all Alumni Association initiatives. + Managed the Class Agent Program, cultivating and supporting over 100 volunteers in their role of inviting their classmates to support Saint Meinrad as part of the Alumni Annual Giving Program. + Performed public relations activities, maintained the alumni website, alumni social media platforms, and wrote stories for the alumni section of the quarterly newsletter, the monthly e-newsletter, and served as editor of the alumni e-magazine, Voices from the Vineyard: http://alumni.saintmeinrad.edu/voices

The Center for Educational Outreach is a University of Michigan initiative that seeks to ensure academic excellence for all K-12 schoolchildren in the state of Michigan. I aided in the management of their College Corps and Wolverine Express programs as a graduate student intern. College Corps is an academic enrichment and college awareness program dedicated to preparing high school students for post secondary education. Wolverine Express is a school visitation program in which a diverse group of U-M faculty, staff, and students assemble as a team and travel to visit select high schools located across the state of Michigan.Responsibilities:• Trained college students for outreach work in schools and the community. This included weekly check-in meetings where I helped our college students develop their lesson plans and work on classroom management strategies. • Developed educational programming (school visits, workshops, presentations, academic support, etc.) for high school students focused on college access and preparation. This included editing and developing interactive presentations that are still used to help high school students gain needed knowledge about the college-going experience. • Established and maintained collaborative relationships with students, parents, schools, communities, organizations, and partners within the university. This included establishing working relationships with high school principals and partner teachers so our college students had successful weekly visits into classrooms. • Performed data collection & analysis to ensure program goals & objectives were met. I also assisted in the development of new program evaluations used to support the growth of the College Corps program.

Excellent Schools Detroit is a non-profit that creates scorecards for individual Detroit schools using information from on-site school visits from a group of parents, community members, and those who work in the field of education. They work to ensure that parents, caregivers and community members have information that helps them find the best quality educational options in the city, and that policymakers have information and recommendations that help them improve education policy in Detroit and Michigan.During their four month yearly review process, I led groups of parents and community members through schools and then held subsequent discussions in the hopes of ascertaining high quality reviews that Excellent Schools Detroit could share with the community.
