About Christian Ortiz

Before I knew what engineering was, I was the kid taking everything apart, drilling holes in random things using my grandfather's hand-powered drill, and trying to make my skateboard faster by duct taping model rocket engines to the deck. Since then, I received my Master's degree from Dartmouth College studying mechanical engineering and material science, worked at SpaceX developing the tools necessary to make spaceflight to Mars an everyday reality, and developed the expertise to know that I needed at least three model rocket engines to make my skateboard faster.
