Provides high level scientific leadership, technical support and training across STRI Group. This has been built on a career as a scientist, researcher and project manager with 17 years' experience in the sports surface industry. Experienced in all aspects of soil science and turfgrass research, including grass, rootzone and construction materials, fertiliser, machinery, surface performance, biostimulant, plant protection product testing. Experienced in a wide range of sports surfaces from natural to artificial grass, from turf to non-turf sand surfaces such as all weather equestrian through to greyhound racing tracks. Trainer and course lead for STRI's BASIS and FACTS training courses. Looking forward to taking this knowledge forward to integrating sports into practical and impactful sustainable green infrastructure. Sport and its associate spaces can have a vital role to building a more resilient world from environmental through to socio-economic and human health benefits.
