Growing up, I would dismantle every toy/gadget/tool in sight to see how it worked and then I would rebuild it to its full functionality. I was not always successful in reassembling things just like in life we are not always successful. My broken toys did not stop my curiosity though. Those broken toys taught me a lesson that I carry with me to this day. The lesson I learned is that we must learn to fail because without failure we will never learn anything.To this day I maintain that level of curiosity. I want to know how things work and more importantly how can I change them to make them better or serve a different purpose?In my work I love solving problems and leading teams. I would be dishonest if I said that I solved every problem perfectly all the time but like the toys. I learn from my successes and failures to improve my success.
