    I am part of a team within one of six living units on the maximum security Green Hill School campus that assists their psych team in providing comprehensive case management, transition and reentry planning, counseling, and treatment services. I supervise an assigned caseload of incarcerated youth who are violent crime offenders who are mostly gang related for compliance with program and treatment plan and prepare youth and their families for re-entry back into the community. Daily Duties Include:Team up with the other residential counselors to assess behavior and monitor youth compliance with case plan and program requirementsSupport and monitor youth participation in appropriate treatment services.Co-facilitate Dialectical Behavior Therapy & Cognitive Behavioral Therapy groups.Perform routine security duties, relay codes to central command as they arise over the radio to summon roving security, and wear a belt with cuffs, keys, a med kit with narcan, and a radio. Conduct wellness checks, living unit building security checks, room searches for contraband, pat searches of youth, assist in search and apprehension of escapees, and respond to emergencies and fights. Assign and supervise youth chores within a living unit to meet health and hygiene standards.Supervise or serve meals to resident groups; monitor movement of residents to and from central areas such as school, medical, and recreation facilities while communicating movements to security via radio. Run the central security both answering/placing calls, opening and shutting secured doors, logging movements in and out of the building, checking in and out cuffs, keys, and radios to staff, and noting residents concerning behavior in their wing log books.
