Accountable for managing all aspects of CDMO site management including manufacturing execution and readiness, resource management, raw material oversight, and financial flows.

Responsible for global oversight and management of external regulated service providers within Clinical Development. Partnering closely with Clinical Development Functional leaders, Compliance & Procurement, I ensure quality and compliance in supplier evaluation and selection, negotiating and managing outsourcing contracts and budgets, and ongoing supplier oversight including active issue management and the development and deployment of performance metrics.

Ensures sustained supply, product quality and compliance of products and services from key external supply chain partners. This includes Contract Manufacturing Organizations (cell manufacturers, vector manufacturers, plasmid manufacturers) and storage and logistics providers.

I was brought on to the supply chain team in order to secure third party locations for offsite storage of raw materials for two commercial biopharmaceutical assets. The forecast for the 2 commercial products demanded more storage space to maintain a safe and functional working capacity. I negotiated and contracted 3rd party warehouse space to meet production demands and now monitor and manage inventory levels of 100+ Bill of Material items. This includes the logistics and coordination as well as the relationship management of the offsite warehouses to allows for continuous production of our two products.

As operations manager in PULSE, I was able to manage the successful delivery of nearly 100 employees from 31 countries to 39 non-profits, bringing much needed expertise to address serious health challenges. This required consultative work with senior stakeholders, collaborative ways of working with the Philadelphia- and London-based PULSE team, project management skills and innovative thinking to deliver effective solutions across multiple business functions and geographies. This role allowed me to build strong working relationships inside and outside of the company to successfully deliver the program and its communication efforts. Along with managing relationships between our non-profit partners and volunteers, I was responsible for delivering the internal and external communication strategy for the PULSE program. This provided me the opportunity to work closely with both global and local communication networks. I aligned global news stories within the GSK business with a total audience of 100,000 employees to match the milestones of the PULSE program. I worked with external media and outlets to promote PULSE and the advantages of skills-based volunteering through conferences, storytelling and increased social media presence.

As part of the GSK PULSE Volunteering Partnership, I will be working in Takoradi, Ghana for 6 months. I will be working alongside Jhpiego, one of GSK’s partner non-profit organizations to help build a positive, sustainable change within a developing community. JhpiegoPULSE Project: Ghana Health Services faces a challenge where the systems for monitoring routine service delivery data are weak. The opportunity in conjunction with Jhpiego is to develop an effective monitoring system that will provide the project team and ultimately the Ghana Health Service with the tools and capacity to improve the quality of health care and increase coverage of malaria prevention and treatment services. With support from GSK, the PULSE Pillar project will contribute a proven monitoring and evaluation (M&E) tool to the Western Region Ghana Health Service to adopt and use for continual monitoring and informed decision-making to support the delivery of quality health services.

I heightened business development by defining competitor and cooperative biotech companies and managed customer, partner and supplier relationships. I developed processes with legal department to improve and manage compliance with Intellectual Property Management Practices and agreement developed standard ways of working with external supply in forecasting, Purchase Orders, Invoices and Reporting .

I worked closely with multidisciplinary teams within biopharmaceutical organization for drug startup process. I worked with Operational Excellence and Statistician to perform Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) on appropriate equipment for technology transfer. I worked with third party vendors in order to assess the extractables/leachables in storage containers for raw material.
