About Christie Loyd

I was born in Houston, TX and was lucky enough to move to Nigeria when I was two weeks old. I spent the first few years of my life in Nigeria and Angola before moving to Boston, Tulsa and then back to Houston. Those early adventures sparked a lifelong love of travel and I have been all over the world and still have many places on my “list” to see one day. I graduated from The Art Institute of Houston with an AAS degree in Film Production and earned my BA in Communications/PR/Advertising with a minor in English from The University of Houston. I spent many years in sales management before becoming the Admissions Director at The Iron Yard Houston where I discovered my passion for helping others achieve their dreams. I have spent the last 7 years helping people change their lives as an Operations Manager, Admissions and Sales Director and Campus Director at several coding bootcamps in Houston. I love the bootcamp world, starting with The Iron Yard and am now ready for my next adventure helping people achieve their dreams.I am involved with a number of charities that help children, animals, veterans and others. In my spare time, I love to travel the world, write films, spend time with friends and family and hanging out with my two dachshunds Ben and Betty Lou and my rescue dog Beau.
