Hi! I’m Christie - a Fashion Technologist with 7+ years worth of industry experience. I am originally from London but have grown up in Scotland and have been working within the Fashion Industry here. My current roll is Fashion Technologist for Dundee based charity Front Lounge in which I am able to pass on my skills and knowledge of the fashion industry, specifically garment manufacturing, to help educate young people in Dundee!I have transferable skills including Garment Construction, Pattern Cutting and Grading, Quality Control and Team Management. I have previous experience and training using Lectra Software to create flat drawings and make digital patterns. I am extremely confident conducting garment fittings and taking full body measurements. I have training and experience understanding and creating different elements of Tech Packs and I also have a vast understanding of various fabric properties. Through my work with Scottish Independent Brand, Isolated Heroes I have worked on projects with Urban Outfitters Scotland, The V&A Museum of Design and various celebrity clients. My experience within garment manufacture has meant I have produced garments for clients such as Becky Hill, Katherine Ryan and TV Personality Gemma Collins.I was awarded Fashion Assistant of the year 2022 at the Scotland Re:Design awards in association with The V&A Dundee!
