I'm a multi-racial Korean-American writer and recognized community engagement practitioner with more than 15 years of experience leading teams to achieve mutually beneficial goals for the public good. As a first-time founder with Petal, I'm also a passionate advocate for a more just and equitable world of work. Established in 2020, Petal is a majority female-owned and -managed Fort Worth, Texas-based consumer goods company on a mission to reimagine waste disposal. As a purpose-driven enterprise Petal believes in clean spaces and healthy relationships for all, and that composting should be easy and widespread. In addition to Petal, I'm also the Voice and Activist in Residence at JukeStrat, a purpose-driven consulting group that I co-founded to help create healthy workplace environments. Prior to Petal, I served as the Director of Community Engagement and Service at Miami University of Ohio, helping to secure more than $1 million dollars to expand the school's civic and community engagement portfolio. As the Statewide Director of STEAM initiatives for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware, I oversaw community-based programs centered on robotics, biology education, and computer programming.
