-Responsible for leading University-wide Community Engagement efforts-Orchestrated a turnaround by eliminating the pre-existing staff of three, hiring three new professional staff members, and creating a culture of collaboration, creativity, and outcome-based programming-Recruited 15 new students to run programs and events-Obtained a $750k endowment to develop interfaith community engagement programming at Miami University-Worked with University advancement to secure $300k for the creation of the Community Service Leaders Fund, an endowment to support students participating in alternative breaks and other high impact community engagement experiences-Led a team of community engagement staff from three different campuses to implement a new University-wide volunteer promotion, tracking, and management platform called ComMUnity Connect: volunteer.miamioh.edu-Under the leadership of OCES, Miami University became designated a “Voter Friendly Campus” by NASPA and the Campus Vote Project-Named a NASPA Lead Institution for Civic Learning and Democratic Engagement-Provided leadership to submit ALL IN Campus Challenge Report, which resulted in Miami University being awarded "Most Innovative Program" nationally for one of its civic engagement efforts--the Freedom Summer App (Dr. Ann Elizabeth Armstrong)-Launched the first-ever Local Alternative Spring Break geared towards international students-Designated 16 new Service-Learning classes-In response to the heightened interest in politics on campus, spearheaded the creation of a Political Engagement Coalition, a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and community members unified in an effort to foster and fuel student action/engagement across the political spectrum-Provided leadership which enabled Miami University to be named a “Partner in Democracy” by the Ohio Secretary of State for providing the most poll workers out of any organization statewide for the 2016 election season

My role was to develop, expand, and assess STEAM programming for 44 Boys & Girls Clubs sites across the state of Delaware.-Wrote and received one of only 10 international FIRST STEM Equity Community Innovation grants in the amount of $42,400 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware to expand its LEGO Robotics program and to collaborate with Wilmington's Community Education Building in the development of joint summer programs.-Wrote and received a $20,000 grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts to support the Pegasus ArtWorks program.-Expanded the Delmarva Power STEM Club program to 24 sites across Delaware.-Wrote and received a $10,000 grant from AstraZeneca to launch the Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware's Center for STEM Excellence, a resource for STEM teaching and learning. -Collaborated with University of Delaware Departments of Education and Computer Science to prepare a $200,000+ National Science Foundation grant proposal for Community-based computer science programs in under-served and underrepresented communities. -Wrote and received a $5,000 grant from the Boeing Employee Community Fund to support STEM teaching and learning.-Presented at the 2016 National Afterschool Association Conference in Orlando, FL: "Beating the Odds Studying STEM."-Oversaw all STEM grants and programs budget.

-Managed a staff of 20 professionals, graduate assistants, interns and fellows-Oversaw the production and provided copy for Binghamton University's first-ever University-wide publication on Civic Engagement--"Civic Connection"--which featured examples of innovative community-campus partnerships, academic-service learning courses, and other civic engagement programs. -Planned and executed the largest-ever Community Opportunities Fair, increasing attendance by over 50% from the previous year. -Worked with the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs and CCE Research Specialist to oversee the Community Schools program. -Negotiated a cost-sharing agreement with the Union-Endicott School District Superintendent to transport math tutors to and from BU to local elementary and middle schools. -Managed "Passion to Action" workshop series focused on moving students to action on issues of social justice.-Raised co-sponsorship monies to bring UN liaison Michael Kaufman from Canada to BU for a workshop on gender equality and healthy relationships.-Oversaw Bridging the Digital Divide Program (BDDP), an educational initiative providing free computer literacy instruction and low-cost refurbished computers to youth with high needs, formerly homeless men, and senior citizens. Over the course of five years, BDDP has provided 1,400+ Binghamton residents with computer literacy instruction and 300+ computers to those lacking access to IT. -Worked with CCE Research Specialist to manage political engagement initiatives, including voter registration, the CCE radio show, and "Vote Everywhere Ambassadors" through the Andrew Goodman Foundation. -Quintupled campus voter turnout from the previous year’s public election. -Presented at Binghamton University Student Affairs Day, October 2015: "Students Leading and Learning in the Center for Civic Engagement."-Worked to expand & institutionalize Academic-Service Learning and Community-Based Learning across campus.

-Worked with Director, Faculty Engagement Associate, and faculty committee to plan and execute BU's first-ever Institute on Community-Engaged Teaching, Research, & Scholarship.-Collaborated with Director and Faculty Engagement Associate to launch and run the "Engaged Faculty Fellows for Teaching Excellence" program, which supports faculty in the design and implementation of effective community-engaged teaching. Fellows receive a stipend and meet monthly to discern how community-based research or service-learning courses could support their teaching and research goals. -Generally advised faculty and staff in the development of community-based projects and service-learning course components.-Led the CCE team to host major events (e.g. Showcase of Community Opportunities, Global Service Fair, Community Issues Forums, Clothing & food drives, etc.).-Co-taught “Engagement Program Management" internship course and supervised interns in the development of Community Issues Forums.-Co-taught "Social Media and Marketing" internship course and supervised related interns. -Led "Life After AmeriCorps" training session for NY State Habitat for Humanity VISTAs.-Presented at NASPA Civic Learning & Democratic Engagement Conference, New Orleans (June 2015): "Collaborating Across a Networked Campus." -Presented at NASPA Civic Learning & Democratic Engagement Conference, June 2014: “Students Leading and Learning in the Center for Civic Engagement." -Oversaw marketing and communications efforts through multiple media (e.g., website, email, social media, and other print and electronic means); supervised professional staff and student interns to develop marketing and communications materials and execute strategic marketing plan. -Developed, identified & tracked campus initiatives involving volunteer activities, classes with community components, community-based research, internships, and other forms of experiential education.
