As an admissions representative, responsibilities are generally focused in the area of recruitment, but are often diversified into the areas of academics, student retention, and guidance counseling. Responsibilities include:• Interviewing and recruiting prospective students, including the development of rapport with community contacts,• Presenting of student orientation and preparing new students for their experience with the school, and• Organizing various workshops and student retention events associated with new students and referrals.As an externship coordinator, responsibilities were focused toward quality assurance, ensuring that students were matched with externship sites which catered to each student’s strengths, ultimately leading to career opportunities. Responsibilities included:• In-person networking with potential employers in students’ respective areas of study,• Student mentoring in the areas of professionalism and overcoming obstacles in reaching goals, and• In-class, motivational presentations to engage students relating to externship / career placement opportunities.Professional accomplishments include:• Recognized repeatedly for exceeding enrollment goals over the course of recruiting periods.• Recognized for achieving 169% of budgeted enrollment goal in only six months.• Recognized for enrolling and re-enrolling 19 new students in a one-week period.
