Contract management from start-up through close-out. Perform on-site inspection of material and workmanship of roads and wet utility construction projects to meet INDOT specifications and standards. Provide detailed daily documentation of all site production and activities. Field measure all items for payment in a timely manner and justify calculations for an accurate payment. Maintain professional relationships and open communication with contractors (both field and office personnel), sub-contractors, facility owners, clients, INDOT, homeowners and City/County officials. Conduct and oversee field testing on soil (density and moisture), aggregate, concrete (air, slump, yield, beams, and flexural strength) and asphalt (plate samples and cores). Maintain material records to assure test results and frequencies are achieved. Review various types of plans to verify constructability and catch any issues prior to construction. Prepare or review and approve contractor payroll, pay estimates, change orders, weekly reports, erosion control reports, and sign/barricade reports. Complete final construction records thoroughly and ahead of schedule.

Quality assurance and inspector for large scale commercial pier installation/construction. Managed third party inspections for wet utility installation/demolition for the City and County of Denver. Ensured all installation was per approved plans and met the Standard Detail requirements. Performed various Residential Inspections (Excavation, Steel, Damp proof, Drain, etc.) for new construction. Conducted soil and asphalt compaction testing through visual observation of procedures and with a Troxler nuclear gauge. Communicated results of each conducted inspection(s) or test(s) with the appropriate site Superintendent, city inspector, engineers and contractors, as well as daily reports outlining field observations.

Locate expected bore location based off the engineer’s plan on residential and commercial construction sites. Direct liaison between engineers and drilling team in the field, as well as contractors, project managers, and utility locators on site. Effectively communicate drill related activities and issues with the Staff Engineer.

Conducted soil moisture and compaction/density testing to include visual observation of procedures used by contractors, utilization of a Troxler nuclear gauge, and sample collection for further lab analysis. Soil testing was administered on a wide variety of construction sites for wet utility installation, excavation/over excavation, wall backfill, sidewalk and street subgrade, etc. Asphalt compaction, inspection and sample collection was also performed. Compliance with city and county requirements for testing frequency, and density and moisture specifications were achieved. Collaboration and communication with contractors to achieve expected results. Daily reports were procured of field observations, test results and work performed.
