Freelance

Current

Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States

Each day is new and exciting with the freelance services while maintaining high organizational time management. Since I am self-employed, I utilize my marketing skills to procure my own income. One of the most recent has been freelance writing. Sometimes, product descriptions for marketing or articles for reviews are needed. I am training myself in copywriting and digital marketing, so this is a perfect fit. The other tasks involve refurbishing properties and furniture to raise their resale value. On other days, I am a courier for different companies. This broad-spectrum experience has taught me a great deal about organizational management to ensure each task's completion within the promised time. There are also days filled with canvassing or odd task that can lead to other ventures. There is a great deal of excitement that comes from the instability of this, leading to new adventures and opportunities. I have had great success and learned so much from these trials and errors, and now it is time for me to use them elsewhere. I am missing the sense of loyalty and comradery that comes from working as a team. I will continue to train in copywriting and marketing, but I am now looking for new opportunities. I am optimistic about the promise of the future and am eager to meet my new team.

Home Health Aide

Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States

Ensure clients' health and home needs are met through compassionate care to maintain their ability to remain in the comfort of their own homes. Duties included assisting with personal hygiene cleaning and wound care. My client was paraplegic, so ensuring mobility with physical therapy and maintaining a clear pathway was vital. There were specific dietary needs to uphold by preparing meals for current and future meals. Assist in maintaining a healthy weight. Assisting with transportation to appointments and errands required time management to complete all required tasks within the allotted time. Record completed duties, clean and organize the home while assisting the client with additional requests. Each day would be different, and sometimes there would be last-minute changes to the schedule to be available when needed. Maintain positive, empathetic care with a focus on preparing for future needs.

Technical Support Engineer

Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States

Working with technologically enhanced network-connected devices, I applied my creative problem-solving talents to investigate the root cause of client difficulties. I acquired a broad knowledge base and advanced skills for fixing devices while repairing relationships with our clients. I narrowed down the problems while increasing the value of accounts. After successfully navigating several tools to troubleshoot accounts, devices, and networks, I offered a complete resolution to complex issues. I ensured customer retention by providing an award-winning, courteous customer experience with each interaction. I reach top-level metrics while being promoted and recognized regularly for exceptional service. My job entailed providing a wide range of services to a global consumer base. Not only was troubleshooting devices, but accounts and the network had to be understood. Customers would range from young teenagers to foreign professionals, including some who needed language or hearing interpreters. T-Mobile maintains a vast range of connected technology, with complex client concerns, requiring a great deal of skill regularly. Throughout my employment, I excelled at the challenges while remaining positive under pressure.

Location Manager

Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States

I successfully managed multiple locations for multiple seasons in the fireworks tent. I became featured in a local press release and an interview with the Albuquerque Journal. Recruited, hired, and trained new staff to create a tent that was featured by the general manager multiple times as an example to follow. By creating a bright, friendly, and well-organized retail location, the first year was the only year I ran a single tent. With outstanding performance, I achieved a second location the following year. Most of my first-year staff remained till the last year of operation, maintaining the consistently high standards I developed. There were clear protocols that I developed to handle different situations, such as shoplifting, counterfeit cash, and weather concerns, to avoid issues. In the second year, only four tents achieved restock; two were mine. I continued nearly selling out, even with the restrictions in place. Even though we did not have the best selection or pricing, numerous customers returned each year for our service. I ensured the tent was fully staffed, opened consistently, and maintained a clean, welcoming location that would draw customers. I added additional decorations and lights that I purchased to create a festive atmosphere and brought in the restriction information to assure compliance. I provided shopping baskets to customers to encourage additional product purchases and prevent pocketing items. I had a few rolls of stickers for children to gain excitement and a tablet that displayed videos of the different fireworks to show their potential to aid sales. I also had a security person on duty full-time to promote safety for the staff and customers at both locations. These were all new ideas that I implemented to add to the appeal of my tent. Through the changes implemented at my tents, I differentiated myself from the others, creating a memorable experience.

Technical Support Specialist

Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States

While working for such an industry-leading carrier with top-rated care, I advanced my skills exponentially. Learning skills from simply processing customer orders to handling escalated billing concerns created adaptability I have carried throughout each job since. Since this was a fast-paced call center environment, I quickly learned how to multi-task with active listening to ensure proper documentation and take measures to audit the account to ensure first-contact resolution. There were days that system issues would take away access to part of our systems or incidents that caused an influx of upset customers that required critical problem-solving ability. There were core metrics that I needed to maintain with consideration to sales, retention, and time spent that I earned bonuses for regularly. No matter what was happening outside of the call, power issues, metric-based pressure, or a high volume of calls, the customer was the main focus since they were the reason we were all there. The customer experience metric I maintained with outstanding success. Since I maintained such high metrics, I was promoted to technical support within two months of leaving training. Because this position was challenging, the awards I received were some of the most cherished in my collection. The global support training I received during my employment ensured I was successful, and some of the tactics I still use today.

Dec 2012 - Mar 2015

Shift Team Lead

Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States

I was in charge of the complete setup of the restaurant's opening. Since the first shift required completion of product preparation, maintaining health regulations, and training staff, I gained prioritization skills. Being efficient with time management was important since our guests were arriving, and all needed to be completed simultaneously. Because I maintained an upbeat and energetic personality, the owner added a promotional costume for me to bring in new sales. The engagement grew excitement with families, leading to increased sales. I also won multiple contests for upsells even though I worked part-time while maintaining Dean's List honors at school full-time. I completed full training for tax preparation with high marks and turned down a position to pursue tent management. Throughout my employment, I developed marketing skills and promotion management that assisted me later. I maintained the health inspectors' high standards at all morning inspections; effectively trained new staff in the procedures required to provide a full menu selection throughout the day. I also assisted with inventory to help upper management as well. I acquired many skills to assure employability in numerous roles and industries since I was keen to cross-train.

Nov 2010 - Dec 2012

Retail Manager

Cup-O-Cakes

Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States

I began by pulling the inventory displays from storage to set up for the day. Opening involved full-site setup and displaying to appeal to fast-paced customers of the local mall. I quickly excelled, breaking sales records continuously, and gaining the management position. I interviewed and trained new staff to encourage a positive and exciting environment around the products. I suggested new promotions and specials and even advertised on the local radio for the store. This location's success led to a satellite location at the state fair where I interviewed on the news for the store. Then again with a local magazine for promotion. I innovated new ways to utilize the products to gain sales. I also began a "vote for the newest flavor" poll to promote interaction with people passing by again, increasing sales. This location was closed down towards the end of the year. However, when businesses found out about the closing, I was offered new employment because of their familiarity with my innovative, outgoing skills.
