The Edible Playgrounds project designs and builds fruit and vegetable gardens in school playgrounds. We train teachers and teach children about growing and eating healthy food. I work as part of a team - we support schools for a year after their Edible Playground has been built, helping them to embed the use of their new growing space into the curriculum. I get to create planting plans and other resources to support teachers to link growing and outside learning into their teaching plans. Due to covid I've been able to use my video skills and equipment to make gardening videos for the charity to support teachers. But, I still get to deliver teacher training and pupil workshops in person. My favourite has to be teaching the kids to be worm wranglers and set up their own wormeries. Seed sowing is on the agenda in the next couple of months.

I left the BBC about 20 years ago and set up my own company UrbanFox. I run video camera training courses. Most of my clients are broadcast professional who work as self shooters.I specialise in training small groups and also do one-to-one training too.

For the last two years I have run seminars and workshops in the Production Village at IBC.Before that I was a speaker for the What Caught My Sessions for 4 years running.

At the GTC I worked on the Council for several years and edited several editions of the GTC magazine (Zerb).I'm a regular contributor to Zerb and InFocus the GTC newsletter.

I delivered the camera training sessions on the "Shoot and Edit" short course.
