Oversees the daily operations of Louisiana Public Broadcasting, including responsibility for strategic planning and content development, across all LPB departments. Oversees and manages television production, broadcasting, education and community outreach initiatives and the development of select partnerships for Louisiana Public Broadcasting. Ensures that LPB delivers quality content to audiences across the State of Louisiana in existing and developing broadcast platforms.

Responsible for providing all communications and marketing support for CB&I’s Environmental Solutions Operating Group and its business units, including working with corporate management, communications and marketing teams, as well as the business development, technical groups and functional management within the operating group. Developed and implemented communications strategies, including a new interactive safety campaign. Wrote and edited internal and external communications including Board of Directors quarterly briefings, press releases, magazine articles, internal memos, intranet news stories and marketing materials.

Special Projects Producer, Writer and Director for Louisiana Public Broadcasting. Responsible for all aspects of production for nationally broadcast and national award winning documentary programs including project planning, research, field production, interviews, script writing, editing, collaboration with photographers, editors, graphic artists, composers and program talent, rights management/contract negotiations and creation of broadcast promotional materials and events. Tasks include grant writing and fundraising for LPB documentary and educational outreach projects as well as project and grant management, budgeting and reporting. Obtained grant funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to develop a statewide collaborative media preservation plan and digital media archive for LPB, the Louisiana State Archive and other regional partners including implementation of metadata standards, workflow design, consulting in database design and media digitization and storage planning. Responsible for management of LPB’s grant funded work on the Corporation for Public Broadcasting’s American Archive Initiative to catalogue and preserve public broadcasting media assets and to make them accessible to the public. Served as Editorial Coordinator for the LPB/Corporation for Public Broadcasting grant funded Gulf Coast News Consortium (GulfWatch), LPB’s web news portal for ten regional public broadcasting outlets covering the BP Oil Spill.

Responsible for all aspects of documentary production for nationally broadcast and national award winning programs, including project planning, field production, interviews, script writing, rough cut editing, collaboration with photographers, editors, graphic artists, composers and program talent, rights management/contract negotiations and creation of broadcast promotional materials and events. Responsible for grant writing and fundraising for LPB documentary and educational outreach projects as well as grant management, budgeting and reporting.

Responsible for creation and production of station messages, images spots, promotions and interstitial materials for broadcast between programs for Nashville Public Television, including short documentaries and feature stories. Assisted in the overall design and development of new station branding and image package for NPT during the station's relaunch in 2000. Responsible for interpreting Nielsen rating data and using it to guide in scheduling all promotional and interstitial materials for NPT with the goal of building audiences.

Responsible for writing and producing daily 6:00pm newscast including writing news stories and anchor packages, show stacking, blocking, timing, and coordination of live and satellite shots. Responsible for story development and copy editing reporter stories for the program, and collaboration with reporters, editors and graphic designers to create a program with solid and accurate news content with visually interesting presentation. Also responsible for the development of news special events, documentaries and series.

Responsible for writing and producing daily 5:30am newscast including writing news stories and anchor packages, show stacking, blocking, timing, and coordination of live and satellite shots. Also served as an Associate Producer for Eyewitness News This Morning and teen talk show producer, responsible for booking guests and creating feature stories.
