This position allows me to lead campus educators in instructional planning and delivery of content using best practice strategies of engagement and comprehension. I engage in co-teaching via push-in lessons and activities in general education classrooms while providing gifted and talented services to 4th and 5th graders during respective 45 minute pull-outs. This professional position provides me the opportunity to serve as the Campus GT Coordinator, allowing me to provide GT professional development to campus educators and to facilitate a yearly identification process from start to finish. Data analysis plays a large part of my job description as well. My leadership contributions extend beyond the campus in the work I do on the Districtwide Educational Improvement Council.

2019 Cohort participating in leadership policy learning; one of 30 teacher leaders selected across Texas; goals are to provide educator perspective on various issues to Texas legislators and TEA; using the resources provided by this organization, I published an op-ed in Education Week regarding the El Paso mass shooting.
