The Minty Organization for the Performing Arts, Inc. was incorporated as a New York non-profit corporation on November 18, 2013. The Minty Organization was formed to honor the sacrifice and dedication of students in the Dramatic Arts Programs of the New York High Schools. It aims to promote these programs, performers, and all who support them through The Minty Awards, master classes, and other workshops focusing on the Fine Arts.The Minty Awards have become the "Tony Awards" for the talented high school students of New York. Each year the award show, hosted at the majestic St. George Theatre, kicks off with a grand opening number featuring students from all nominated schools.
