One of the founding members of the Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) program, helped set program mission, strategy, and priorities, growing program’s budget to $17M/yr. Represented and advocated program to Congress, other government agencies, and at domestic and international conferences. Trained government offices on elements of program and strategic priorities. Developed engagement strategy for marginalized communities including youth and women, focusing on education, empowerment, and social impact initiatives. Managed projects with combined budgets of over $5M. Established relationships with governments, nonprofits, academia, and private sector to raise awareness, expand partnerships, and apply innovative research to create programs that build resilient communities. Assisted in creation of first-ever international center for CVE in UAE, worked with forum of 39 countries to develop and implement operations and communications plan.
