In this role, I offer financial leadership to Southern Company Services' corporate business units and handle governmental reporting, managing multiple teams and individual contributors. I craft financial strategies for budgeting and forecasting to deliver essential insights to executive management. Key responsibilities encompass overseeing annual budget process, actual and budget variance analysis, providing strategic financial guidance, ensuring compliance, and cultivating a high-performance team culture.

In this role I served as part of the Resource Planning & Budgeting leadership team leading 4 teams for Georgia Power Company's corporate areas including project management of budget, regulatory, forecast, and headcount strategies, business unit reporting metrics, and financial systems and reporting. I previously consolidated management and headcount reporting for $1.8B O&M budget for senior leadership and peer management. From 2018-2021, I worked on the team that developed and implemented Southern Company’s Consolidated Chart of Accounts system utilizing Oracle Projects and Oracle Planning. During 2021 and 2022, I managed a staff of employees across the state supporting Power Delivery with an approximate $180M O&M budget. Today, I manage a multiple teams that perform financial support for Business Unit Analysis, Training, Reporting, and Compliance areas. While in this role, I was selected into and completed the Georgia Power Emerging Leaders Program in 2016, Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics in 2019, Georgia Power Cross-Cultural Mentoring in 2022, and McKinsey Academy Asian Management Accelerator in 2024, recognized and received progressive promotions, and represent Georgia Power with influential non-profit organizations in the community, specifically serving on the Board of Directors and 2022 Executive Committee as Chair for LiveSafe Resources.

Through proven leadership, analytical ability, and exceptional performance, I was continuously promoted in organization to expand financial support and presentations starting with managers/directors in Information Technology and expanding to senior managers/executives/officers for SCS-Services. I managed a 10 person direct financial team and 4 person indirect team that supported the SCS-Services EVP, President, & CEO and the vice presidents and directors for Business Performance Services, Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, National Accounts, Smart Energy, Supply Chain Management, SouthernLINC, and System Air. I received many recognitions for performance and selective mentoring and leadership development programs. I was very successful working in a matrix environment balance business unit goals with financial targets while managing a $362M billing budget and $35M capital budget.

I began my career as a co-op in Southern Financial Reporting where I learned the basics about accounting and consolidating financial statements. I was hired full-time upon my graduation being recognized for the strong work ethic and ability to learn quickly on the job. This role taught me the importance about compliance, controls, and accuracy of reporting.
