We bring musical performing into the lives of senior citizens. Some of our performers are retired professionals. Many never performed in public before joining my program. These singing, dancing, musical instrument playing SHOW STOPPERS, ages 60-100, perform 25+ show a year at hospitals, schools, and community centers in the NYC area.We also provide music therapy to elders with a variety of disabilities. Even patients with sever dementia and Alzheimer find joy singing, and reminiscing about old songs. Moving to music, and deep breathing while singing, increases healthy endorphin levels, and improves general health.I write skits and arrange music for a variety of performers, with a variety of skill levels. I also write grant applications and fundraise to private and public foundations.

I most recently adapted a screenplay from the autobiography of a Chinese woman growing up during the Cultural Revolution. I provide music therapy to children and elders in their homes.Home-bound elders can find joy singing old songs, and reminiscing to recordings. Even if the client does not remember s/he has had a music session that day, s/he will feel better. Singing naturally increases oxygen intake and raises endorphin levels. Moving to, or even hearing musical rhythms can sharpen brain activity. It is not unusual for a client to go without his/her usual pain medication the evening after a music therapy session.All children enjoy music. Speech delayed children have uttered their first ever vocal sounds during our music therapy sessions. Moving, singing, even counting to musical rhythms has helped an autistic child move into to his/her family's world.

CHRISTINA BRITTON - AEA, SAG/AFTRAMy mother was the actress Barbara Britton, so I began modeling and appearing in television commercials at the age of five. From that early age, I learned the discipline and responsibility of performing on cue, always being cooperative, and working to the best of my ability, no matter how tired or bored I might be. This training served me well as an adult singer, actress, and musician, I have sung operas, operettas, and musicals on four continents, soloed with orchestras, oratorio societies, at RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL, and folk venues, accompanying myself on the Irish Harp, guitar, and piano. I understand the discipline of constant, repetitive practice necessary to create any fine art. Blindly obeying demanding conductors, directors, and choreographers taught me to seek out what is excellent, and disregard what is not.
