I lead all recruitment functions of the business, from start to finish, including headhunting, phone screening, technical interviews, employment offers, salary negotiations and first day inductions. Provided advice on uptake of social networking within the recruitment function and created innovative sourcing strategies to ensure Lexicon acquired the best and brightest candidates in the market. ACHIEVEMENTS: - Doubled size of company in 12 months; rate of hire is 2.6 people per month of senior - lead consultants who were identified as having skills in the top 90th percentile.- Uplifted Marketing on LinkedIn, with the purpose of increasing candidate attraction; this ultimately led to the hire of Lexicon’s first Marketing Coordinator.- Clearly defined recruitment process; When I joined, the recruitment process was unorganised and not effective for candidate attraction. I coordinated with Directors and Lead Consultants to put together a proper recruitment process to ensure we not only effectively measured candidate’s suitability, but also create a feeling of ‘exclusivity’ to working at Lexicon, leading to an enhanced attraction rate.- Delivered recruitment training lunches with entire company; presenting ‘how to interview and what to look for’.- Decrease the use of external recruiters from 100% of hires to 27%, whilst uplifting the calibre of candidate’s external recruiters were sending through, ensuring candidates came from pedigree companies. Reduce use of 7 external recruiters, to 1.- Introduction of new ATS (GreenHouse), LinkedIn Recruiter, Seek Talent; to ensure streamline recruitment and reporting capabilities visible to directors.- Training of junior recruitment staff members.

My role was to source of candidates on CRM database, LinkedIn Recruiter, Seek Talent, Job Boards and through networking events, and conduct phone and face-to-face interviews to qualify them . I worked to build relationships with candidates who were frequently headhunted and offered positions. My work ensured I suitably qualified candidates for the right roles through relationship building. ACHIEVEMENTS: Alongside my colleague who also worked in Data Science, we successfully organised and delivered two meet up events related to Data Science:1. ‘New Year, New You, New Role’ – a morning workshop which was aimed at those trying to get into or get career traction in Data Science and BI, to teach skills in resume writing, interview tips and career planning2. ‘So you think you want a role in Data Science?’ – a collaboration with Betfair Australia, aimed at those looking to break into the industry, which involved a presentation by Betfair, a panel discussion with Betfair’s Data Science team and a Q&A session

My role was to fill all contractor scientific roles in Victoria for all of our National and Preferred Supplier Agreement Accountants, as well as any role acquired by Scientific Business Development Manager. I identified the most in-demand candidate skills and created pools of active candidates to achieve faster and better fill rates, whilst maintaining a call cycle with candidates and clients to ensure everyone's needs were being met. ACHIEVEMENTS: - Accomplished a 95% contractor fill rate of all roles presented- Brought the desk from 0 placements in quarter 2 to 26 placements in quarter 3 (2 placements per week), which included organised pre-employment check such as medical. - Was selected as the ‘Branch Champion’ for the implementation of a new clouded based recruitment software (Bullhorn). As part of this role, I trained the branch, kept everyone updated on timelines for ‘going live’ and helped anyone that needed it – even though I did not receive any extra training on the product myself.- Part of the ‘culture club’, in which I helped organise ideas and schedules for ‘BD/Marketing’ days, organised cakes/celebrations for birthdays and anniversaries, and anything that involved the culture of the office.- Oversaw and signed off on all contractor weekly pays in accordance with the various awards each contractor was on. This was cross checked with their hours and days of work.

My role was to secure sound understanding of clients staffing/recruitment needs, and source, evaluate, reference check suitably qualified and experienced candidates to match that requirement. I cold-canvased employers for suitable roles, over the phone and in-person. I maintained a cold-calling cycle for all potential clients in order to build relationships and trust. I delivered on service requirements to exceed expectations, whilst meeting weekly and quarterly KPI's. ACHIEVEMENTS: - Was a part of the team to organise Melbourne’s first ‘Future Scientist’ award, which was an initiative to help graduates find employment within scientific companies.- Part of the ‘culture club’, in which I helped organise ideas and schedules for ‘BD/Marketing’ days, organised cakes/celebrations for birthdays and anniversaries, and anything that involved the culture of the office.- Trained office on how to use ‘Hirevue’, an on-demand video interviewing platform, by creating a handbook for each individual and giving my own presentation.
