I started my career as a music teacher, which gave me a diverse set of experiences and taught me the value of adaptability and connecting with different people.However, life, with its unexpected turns, introduced me to a new world of learning and growth when my mother's health challenges required me to step into the role of a caregiver!This experience, deeply personal and transformative, propelled me into the healthcare sector, where I found a new calling. Transitioning from a caregiver to the deputy manager of a care home, I learned about management, the significance of empathetic leadership, and the powerful impact of effective care, while also gaining expertise in regulatory oversight, resident advocacy, and quality improvement.My curiosity and desire to innovate led me to explore the intersections of technology and marketing within the healthcare space. Assisting our marketing manager during her maternity leave, I delved into the world of digital marketing, uncovering a passion for storytelling, brand building and technology. This experience revealed the power of marketing to not only connect and engage but also to drive positive change within industries, especially in sectors as crucial as healthcare.My journey then took me across borders, from the warm Mediterranean shores of Greece to the structured landscapes of Germany, and finally to the dynamic and diverse environment of the United Kingdom. Each move was a chapter of growth, bringing new challenges, learnings, and opportunities to broaden my understanding of healthcare management and marketing in different cultural and regulatory contexts.Now, as I pursue my M.Sc in International Marketing in the UK, I am focused on synthesizing my diverse experiences to make a meaningful impact in the live-in care industry. Witnessing the challenges faced by carers and clients alike has strengthened my resolve to advocate for change.
