Founder / CeoUnderground Unattached Aug 2014 - Jul 2018In just three weeks after joining Tinder, I found myself growing frustrated with the labor-intensive and time-consuming nature of online dating. I was convinced that there had to be a more efficient and fulfilling approach to dating.In August 2014, driven by a desire to transform the dating scene for ambitious, career-oriented individuals in New York, I launched Underground Unattached. Collaborating with engagement expert Shaun Derik, I hosted monthly, curated dating experiences, each lasting three hours and limited to 20 men and 20 women. Our goal was to foster genuine connections and speed up the process of intimacy among single professionals. Similar to a more intimate and relaxed version of speed dating, participants took part in various activities designed by psychologist Dr. Sara Nasserzadeh, all without the distraction of their phones.In 2016, Underground Unattached expanded from New York City to Los Angeles, bringing its unique dating experience to over 1200 participants in total.In the fall of 2017, after participating in a startup accelerator program, I made a strategic pivot from Underground Unattached to WeDeepen. -
