With over 15 years of work experience in human resources and law, I am a passionate and skilled leader in the field of HR management. As the Assistant Director of HR at the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts, I oversaw the recruitment, training, and development, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. I also collaborated with senior management, judges, and other stakeholders to implement strategic HR initiatives and policies that align with the mission and vision of the judicial branch. Prior to joining the Illinois Courts, I was the Human Resources and Risk Manager at the Batavia Park District, where I managed all aspects of HR and risk management for a dynamic organization. I also have a strong background in law, having served as an Assistant State's Attorney for McHenry County for 10 years, providing legal counsel to county managers. I have a Bachelor's degree in International Business from Eckerd College, and a Juris Doctor degree with a Labor and Employment Law Certificate from Chicago-Kent College of Law. I am also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the HR Certification Institute.
