Find out more at foundology.org/More about me:After dabbling with my first business at 18, I had a classically-trained brand marketing career, working on some of the world’s best-known brands (Mercedes, Nescafe, Robinsons) as well as becoming, what would now be known as, an intrapreneur at Nestle in a team responsible for launching company-disruptive innovation globally.Since 2011, I’ve been deep in the startup ecosystem – cofounding community SaaS platform Brand Gathering in 2012 (acquired by Enterprise Nation in 2015); then marketing-tech platform Openr which became a Cannes Lion Innovation winner used by brands like Samsung, Vodafone and Expedia. Throughout this journey, I’ve put the learnings to good use training and coaching others, giving me the pleasure of working with hundreds of young businesses – helping to define their growth strategies and coaching founders to help make it happen.Fuelled by the passion to facilitate entrepreneurship, I am module lead for Building High-Impact Founders (founder-leadership) and Entrepreneurial Marketing Strategy and Branding for early-stage entrepreneurs at UCL & support the training programmes of accelerators and institutions across the UK. I am also an occasional seed investor and hands-on board adviser for a select number of start-ups.As a founder-coach I am fascinated by human performance and how our brains can fuel or sabotage our progress. I take a cognitive-behavioural coaching approach to help entrepreneurs define and develop into the startup leader they want to be.I co-authored a book called Dear Female Founder with 65 other female entrepreneurs and I take great pleasure in helping host tea-parties once a month for older people in need of company with the charity Re-engage (formerly Contact the Elderly)

We made it our mission to understand it (see our research), and build evidence-backed ways to fuel those living it - through founder-coaching, peer-learning and cathartic community support. Associate Professor In Entrepreneurship - Building High Impact FoundersUcl School Of Management Sep 2018 - PresentAfter nearly a decade as an entrepreneur, I joined UCL to help the next generation of founders get ready for the founderhood journey. I teach on the MSc in Entrepreneurship, where mature students come to develop and launch a scalable venture, and act as deputy programme director. Initially I redeveloped the Entrepreneurial Marketing Strategy and Branding module as module lead, and have since helped expand the MSc programme by developing and delivering the module Building High Impact Founders. This module develops founder-leadership strengths, skills and resilience for the startup journey ahead and is the first founder-leadership module of its kind in entrepreneurship education. This role let's me blend this experience with my passion for supporting the future generation of entrepreneurs. My teaching style is high-tempo and practical with a collaborative learning-by-doing approach that encourages students to apply everything we learn to their own start-up ideas today and in the future. -
