With a wide range of services offered a particular emphasis is placed in the areas of custom designed window treatments, pillows, bedding, table linens, and upholstery as well as in partial and complete room design from in home design consultations.As part of the interior design staff I go out to client's homes or meet with clients in-store for interior design consultations in which I help them to develop a full range of custom design options for their room(s). This includes but is not limited to custom window treatments, pillows, bedding, table skirts, custom upholstery, paint color consultations, rug and lighting suggestions, home accessorizing suggestions and implementations, and furniture layout suggestions. Through this position I work hand in hand with workrooms and vendors and oversee custom items for individual clients from initial sketch to work order to delivery in both individualized item, whole room, and multiple room scenarios.Through this position I also oversee the company blog and social media platforms creating weekly content to showcase new inventory items, client projects, and interior trends while occasionally guest posting on outside publications. I assist with designing, collaborating, and styling company photo shoots for advertising, promotions, mailers, sales. I am an active participant in meeting with fabric/accessory vendors in-store or at market to select items for stock and assist in the visual merchandising of said items once they arrive in store.Additional experiences from this position in point of sale operations, retail and customer service based operations and interactions, yardage estimates and calculations, invoicing.
