Joined the newly formed CommonSpirit Health national philanthropy team. CommonSpirit Health is the newly merged entity between Dignity Health and Catholic Health Initiatives and is now the nation's largest nonprofit health care system in the U.S., accessible to one in four Americans. CommonSpirit Health is committed to building healthy communities, advocating for those who are vulnerable, and innovating how and where healing can happen—both inside our hospitals and out in the community.

I lead internal and external communications, public and media relations, marketing and advertising needs for Dignity Health's philanthropy efforts. This includes building our communication strategy, amplifying our brand and protecting our reputation of excellence. I ensure our 29 local philanthropy teams have the tools and knowledge to represent our message in a unified way sharing knowledge on best practices and serving as a resource. I drive increased fundraising through efforts that enhance acquisition and retention and support Dignity Health’s philanthropy leadership with internal and external messaging with regard to our work, assisting them in thought-leadership development in the public space and within our organization. I lead a team of direct, indirect, and contract support and work across many departments to communicate our work and support it through fundraising.

Provide writing, editing, social media strategy, SEO, website content management and digital fundraising services to a variety of clients, primarily working with non-profit hospital foundations St. Joseph's Foundation and Barrow Neurological Foundation.

Write articles for various publications including in house health-related newsletter articles, health and wellness articles for Smart Health magazine and lifestyle stories for Massage Envy magazine.

Conceive and write recipes focused on the crops harvested by this local, organic, sustainable farm to provide CSA (Community-Supported Agriculture) members with ideas for using their shares. Interact with social media community to spread the word about the farm and the CSA, i.e. "spread Bossy love" whenever possible.

Coordinated messaging and help generated support for the 2010 Annual Campaign to raise fund for the Minneapolis/St. Paul chapter of One Brick -- a non-profit organization that brings volunteers together to support other local non-profits.

This includes both writing content and coordinating content from other owners; regularly checking and editing sites for quality; working with photographers, designers and with other vendors to improve the visuals on the sites. Develop strategy for social media communications and execute that strategy. This work includes growing our audience, focusing on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, while paying attention to other rising platforms.
