YAC is comprised of high school and college students and focuses on leadership, advocacy, and service aimed at the promotion of school-based health care at a national level.The primary responsibilities of YAC members are to develop and implement strategies for youth leadership development nationwide and to share the youth perspective on health issues with adults. Strategies may include, but are not limited to:- writing a monthly blog on important adolescent health topics; - assisting with the creation of youth-focused content for the Alliance’s current initiatives; - conducting trainings in partnership with Alliance staff - creating and delivering webinars and workshops at the annual convention; - developing and attending the ‘Be the Change’ Youth Training Program at the National School-Based Health Care Convention; - participating in bi-weekly council meetings and monthly Alliance meetings held virtually; - building connections with and maintaining a network of youth passionate about school-based health; and promoting the YAC through social media
