    Since she made Pasadena her home, it only made sense to open her veterinary practice there too. Dr. Calvert has become particularly proficient in laser surgery having performed the technique for over 17 years and will continue to improve her skills with this special tool. In 2010 she was trained in the use of the Companion Therapy Laser which treats many conditions including arthritis, neurologic disease, ear and skin infections, and many other ailements. She also has strong interests in laser surgery, feline medicine, dogs including greyhounds, and exotic companion mammals .In addition to continually improving Calvert Veterinary Center's ability to improve patient care and client service, Dr. Calvert is active in the community. She is on the Board of Director's of the Pasadena Business Association and serves as the Legislative Committee Chair. As a member of the Maryland Veterinary Medical Association she serves on the Legislative Committee and also is a member and part of the American Veterinary Medical Associations Opiod Work Group to help find solutions for the continually growing nationwide opiod epidemic.
