Architect and primary coder on a client/server-based application using gRPC/protobuf, written in python, to allow serialization of data between NetLogo (an agent-based modelling tool written in scala), Repast HPC (an agent-based modelling tool written in C++) and a set of government provided python scripts, for the purpose of calibrating Agent Based models. Wrote a Genetic Algorithm in python to calibrate parameter space of agent based models. Implemented multi-processing algorithms in python for parallel model runs. Became project authority on statistical metric/measure analysis used to score models, this involved understanding and validating algorithms for comparing distributed data, such as earth movers distance and Relative Hausdorff (RH) distance. Created a series of 6 presentations to instruct members of the team on how metrics were calculated. Discovered many errors in government furnished metrics calculations which were making metrics random. Produced many graphical representations of model performance subsequently used in publication. Optimized fast-bert labeling of news articles using PyTorch.cuda parallel processed across multiple GPUs. Administered Amazon Web Services (AWS) across the SocialSim project, suggesting EC2 configurations.
