I am an urban and regional planner and a geospatial scientist, specializing in climate change impacts, mitigation, and adaptation for communities and while improving sustainable livelihoods. I have experience designing international climate change adaptation strategies as well as local hazard mitigation and recovery plans at the international, national, state, and local scales. Areas of focus include decreasing community vulnerability to sea-level rise, flood mitigation, hurricane recovery, and unanticipated hazard impacts on communities. Social and economic impact analysis of current and new policies are incorporated in my work as a planner, geoscientist, and vulnerability/livelihood specialist and climate change and hazards expert.
