I have worked for Barnsley Hospital since 2004, initially as a Research Fellow and then as Director of Research and Development. I am currently seconded as the Programme Manager for the NIHR CLAHRC Yorkshire and Humber. To these roles I bring my experience of clinical and mixed methods health services research with expertise in study design, qualitative and quantitative research and evaluation methodologies and public health. My research to date has been in the fields of paediatric bone health, obesity and health inequalities, the process of translating research into practice and the management and evaluation of complex programmes. All my work has been undertaken within multidisciplinary, cross organisational teams giving an insight and experience into issues of relevance to policy makers, clinical practitioners and academics.
