Supervise crews ranging from 10-50 during fire season. Responsible for the many facets of a warehouse that assembles lunches for fire personnel. Create two week menus, each reflecting the company’s contracts with Department of Interior and Cal-Fire. Thus, lunches cannot be overweight or underweight, everything has to be calculated to precise calories, carbs and especially protein in every lunch. All lunches must be made and shipped to fire camp within a specific amount of time. Responsible for inventory, ordering, shipping and receiving. This job requires standing and working for up to 18 hours or more during large fires. During the height of some fires the warehouse and crews who worked under my management produced upwards of 7,000 lunches in 24 hours. The track record for this team was 99% in accuracy and on time arrivals, making our crew one of the industry leaders in emergency lunches. This job requires employees to be on call 24/7 during fire season and be within one hour of the warehouse, making this a demanding yet fulfilling job.

Worked closely with museum Director towards establishing a Veterans museum in Redding. Worked closely with City Council, city staff and Shasta County Board of Supervisors to establish a plan and site for the proposed museum. Helped with overall museum concept and design with local architect Shelly Kibler. Assisted with design and building of exhibits that were temporarily displayed at temporary museum and various locations within Shasta County. Implemented a solid program for Veterans, their families and civilians to donate or loan items to the museum. Also implemented a Past Perfect program for the museum to document location, description and other pertinent information on holdings and acquisitions. Also led tours through temporary museum while educating the tour on American Veterans from the onset of our country and the Revolution through to current day Iraq and Afghanistan. Worked at temporary museum seven days a week for its first year of existence. Over saw all aspects of many successful fundraising events from inception to hiring of bands to volunteer coordination. Left for personal reasons. Temporary museum closed its doors shortly after I left.
