Vaganova Technique Trained. Horton Technique Trained. BA Dance Pedagogy. M.A. Teaching Artistry, Dance. Asst. Professor of Dance. Domestic and International Performance. Over Twenty Years Teaching and Coaching Veteran with Students Working in the Field. My goal is to create ‘thinking dancers’, integrate diversity into the arts, and cultivate a learning experience of compassion, empathy, integrity, and diversity. I am a recipient of an Individual Artist Grant from the Indiana Arts Commission; a Creative Renewal Fellowship from the Arts Council of Indianapolis and Lilly Endowment; and a winner of the Center for Leadership Development Award for Excellent Achievement in Arts and Theater. I have worked as a Teaching Artist in Residence for Clowes Memorial Hall, Indianapolis. I paired with Artistic Director of Martha Graham Company, Janet Eilber to teach dance outreach programs based on Graham’s “Lamentation”. Most recently my accomplishments include the research, creation, and development of The Sightless Somatic Ballet Practice Method, and the initiation of The Diversity Dance Festival to Anderson University. I’ve served on multiple boards, Racial Equity Task Forces, and Faculty Committees. I am an Assistant Professor of Dance at Anderson University, and Dancer Emeritus of GHDT, Carmel, IN.
