I’m the person who interprets them to help other senior leaders see the bigger picture for the business.I have spent most of my career working in the luxury goods and beauty sectors where the products we distribute make people look and feel good. I enjoy working across sales, marketing & logistics, as well as with our customer base - assessing variables, fast-moving stock, and the complexity of pricing new products. As a proactive finance professional with strong problem solving skills and a creative mind, I take a hands-on approach to improving finance processes, updating systems and procedures as technology updates.Having begun my career with luxury brand Dunhill, I am currently the Commercial Finance Manager for Australia and New Zealand at Sabre Corp - a haircare business with a multimillion-dollar turnover. I manage the finance function, a busy and varied role which involves collating & sharing insights, and analysis around the commercial performance of the business, identifying and executing growth opportunities, analysing critical risk areas and KPIs, budgeting, forecasting, monitoring and reporting, among many other responsibilities....I am a skilled communicator, equally comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders or educating sales and marketing managers about margin impacts and key variables. This is one of the elements of my role I enjoy most – numbers come naturally to me, but I am aware that this isn’t the case for everyone. I love expanding people’s understanding, seeing the light in their eyes when I enable them to see behind the numbers. This makes me feel I have really made a difference.I lead a strong team which I have built to support the finance function.
