Designs and supervises the operational and technology infrastructure for simulation-based education and academic support. Manages and collaborates with internal staff and facilities and external community groups to use research findings and education strategies related to simulation in both clinical and non-clinical education. Builds simulation development, design, and curriculum integration for D'Youville. Directs all activities and staff in the simulation center and provides best-practices in teaching and learning envotironments for students, faculty, and community learners. And...has fun!

Work as an Instructional Designer with faculty to design and build online courses. This includes providing guidance and support to faculty during the course-build process, sharing strategies for online teaching approaches, and providing online assessment strategies. In addition I collaborate with our creative design team to build courses; design and build instructional activities and engagements, and develop and deliver online and technology-mediated course content. In my role, I also build and manage course materials on the LMS, maintain overall quality, and ensure ADA compliance.

Work closely with the College of Nursing faculty, staff, and students to facilitate and support a positive learning environment. This includes assisting faculty with instructional design, implementation of instructional technology, and development and support of clinical practice scenarios for simulation learning experiences. Duties are not limited to but include the administration and support of the Learning Management System (Moodle), administration and support of the Electronic Exam application and portal (ExamSoft), development of instructional materials (Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, MS Word, MS PowerPoint), and technical support of the technology used in simulation including high-fidelity manikins and the software that runs them (LLEAP).

Produced innovative interactive e-learning solutions in support of various government initiatives serving as the lead designer and project manager. Worked on a team producing interactive e-learning solutions in support of various government initiatives. Developed and maintained objectives-based content, storyboarded learning content, managed team in production of e-learning modules and worked with clients to ensure expectations were met and managed.

Served as an instructional designer responsible for developing learning solutions for organization-wide change initiatives. Performed job and learning analysis, wrote design documents and content outlines, developed objectives-based learning content (including criterion-referenced evaluations), managed the production of learning content for a variety of delivery platforms and worked with client to ensure successful completion of all learning modules.
