I endeavor to equip and support others in whatever way I can. I do that through teaching, consulting, serving on boards for organizations I admire, and being a mentor to others. Here is how I got to this point: Veteran - My first "gig" and the one of which I am most proud. 20 years of active duty spanning from the Cold War to Post 9/11. Served as a HUMINT Intelligence Officer as an Operations Officer, Strategic Debriefer, and Interrogator. Management Consultant/Business Builder - Never expected to build a business line after "retiring," but there it is...6 years later we were over 21M in annual revenue, with a strong team providing incredible quality to our government clients. A move to MN in 2009 prompted me to enact a succession strategy and look for the next venture.Entrepreneur - When retirement doesn't suit you...well, it just doesn't! Had a blast standing up Beech Management Consulting and providing consulting services to the Law Enforcement community for 5 years. I especially loved the work I did teaching and coaching a wide array of FBI Special Agents. Educator /Ecosystem Builder - A funny thing happened along the way - I decided to get a doctorate and then use it. A few years ago I thought I'd try my hand at Entrepreneurship in a Higher Ed setting and spent 5+ years building the program and designing a Graduate Certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. I then went on to serve as the Director of Entrepreneurship at Ignite, supporting entrepreneurs, developing programming to support their needs, and designing an accelerator for SE MN. Entrepreneur (serial) - In 2020, I co-launched Copiavia - a new venture focused on leadership, strategy development, and team building for organizations seeking to leverage their inherent talents and treasures. We support the strategic planning process, facilitate team building and board retreats, and guide the process to build earned income and diversify their revenue streams. Shortly after, in 2021, I helped co-found Salt & Light Partners, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing spiritual and emotional support to First Responders. This truly is an opportunity to blend my experience supporting LE and my faith to support our first responder community.These days I split my time between Salt & Light and Copiavia, teaching, consulting, and fundraising.Stay tuned - the journey is still underway!
